abstract| Studio Synexys is an architectural practice, working between the layers of Art, Science and Society. The Studio was founded in 2015 by architect, Gyorgy Bukosdi. Currently, it is directed by Sandra Szentpeteri and Gyorgy Bukosdi with contributions of co-founding partner Gonzalo Garriga. It is based in Zermatt, Switzerland with nodes in Barcelona and Budapest. Synexys considers architecture as a transversal field, for which it is essential to integrate knowledge from a diversity of areas of expertise. The Studio makes Advanced Architecture by creating interaction between variant disciplines and merging intuitive, creative thinking with extensive technological knowledge. Synexys is involved in all architectural and interior design, offering cutting edge solutions on a wide range of scale.
„We are sciartists, both artists and scientists, engaged with aesthetics and experienced in state-of-the-art technologies. This combination of skills allows us to create spaces that are at the same time appealing to the senses and operate with increased efficiency.”
art| The Studio focuses on the essential qualities of architecture. The place, both in its abstract and physical meaning, combined with a limited set of basic geometrical shapes are used to create a framework within which life unfolds out in all its complexity. Synexys is interested in going beyond the visual, using architecture to reveal the choreography of natural elements and the mysteries of daily life. The projects explore the timeless space, binding past, present and future together, weaving the archaic with the contemporary.
science| The Studio applies scientific innovations and up-to-date technologies to improve quality and increase efficiency in time and costs. The projects are research based, always preceded by data collection and a thorough analysis of the circumstances. Synexys uses the latest CAD technologies, such as Building Information Modeling and Parametric Design to create high-quality documentation, minimize waste and deliver environmentally friendly, energy-efficient, smart and flexible design. The Studio is experienced in Digital Fabrication technologies, such as 3D printing, laser cutting, milling and robotics, which makes it possible to create physical models and test the success of ideas in real-world conditions.
society| The Studio places great emphasis on the social responsibility of design and it pursues the objective of exploring and solving emerging issues. Accordingly, Synexys puts people first and tries to come up with solutions that are tailor made to suit their needs and address their unspoken wishes.
